My experience in the Hector Mine quake was very interesting. By that time I had enough quake knowledge and experience that I wasn't scared out of my wits. I could take the time to observe the effects going on around me. For example, I distinctly feel at one point as though I were standing on a board supported by marbles, and someone swirled the board under my feet.

And yes, I'm still stuck here.
