Thx Canie.

When I was at the site it was not responding too well so I couldn't search it for just such a link.

You should try to encourage them to instrument LBCC first. I did not know where you were until I checked a map. Your are dead center on the next LA bullseye quake (ok...give or take 60-70 miles) or so...and your data could supplement Frank Condon's site especially for ULF/ELF bearing/directionality info. in Southern Cal...and possibly provide highly accurate forewarning information...though it might only be a few hours in advance or so. (How far can you drive when everybody splits at the same time? Answer: Don't tell anybody accept family / close friends, etc. :). Sorry but, apparently that is the way it is (ever read about the Cuban Missile crises...and whom split town (DC) early....?)

Anyway, some warning is better than none.

Anyway, I shot from the hip on the ULF info. a little. Detailed info. for setting and buying a ready to go kit is found at www.elfrad.com when clicking on the "ELFRAD Monitor Receiver Info" link.

You can either buy the parts (supplier web addresses are listed) and assemble it yourself or
a

"Completely assembled and pre tested unit with case: $245.00
Receivers are hand assembled and expected delivery date will be furnished upon request."

or $175 without the case.

Also:

The card is shipped complete with all needed software and installation information. Complete details and ordering info can be obtained on line from http://www.seismicnet.com/atod.html.

You still need the computer and A/D card but those links are provided.

They do say you need 500 to 1000 linear feet (preferably on a north /south bearing). So how much is real estate going for in Long Beach...a couple of hundred an acre right?
