Take a look at Google Earth in and around the Guy, Arkansas area and you will see at least one drilling rig and several cleared areas where they have been. One recent news release was stating that the injestion wells used for fracking may well be the cause. Some of the local blogs are very interesting in that conspiracies are alive and well in the area. Some have underground sites run by the government, one said it was a CERN weapon project and others a conspiracy by the USGS as some of the quakes and their magnitudes either change location and/or magnitude. Some of the people say they hear noises sometimes long before they feel a quake, some say they feel many more quakes than reported and some have hired lawyers to assess the damage and go after those responsible. All in all there seems to be no concensus as to what is happening.
Some fear it is action on the New Madrid fault and others think it is a new system. One individual even said some of the small circular pond in the area have fluctuating water levels.
Will be interesting to see where things go as this area has experiences activity for several years now.
