Argentina And Japan Earthquakes January 1, 2011 |
Argentina And Japan Earthquakes January 1, 2011 The following powerful earthquakes recently occurred, in Argentina and Japan. 2011/01/01 09:56:59 26.75S 63.10W 584 7.0 Argentina It is my opinion that my forecasting method likely clearly pointed to the approach of both earthquakes. On the chart below stored on my Web site on December 25, 2010, strong peaks can easily be seen in the 144 E area in the weeks before November 25, 2010. And they can also be seen in the 63 W area in the weeks before December 25, 2010. That chart will probably be updated some time on January 2, 2011. So, those line peak groups won’t be as clear. But they will still be visible on the year 2010 chart at my Web site. That chart is also scheduled for an update.
One of the primary goals of those forecasting charts is to let other earthquake forecasters and researchers and government agencies etc. around the world know that they should be watching certain areas for possible approaching seismic activity. And had people been watching the 144 E and 63 W areas and also had the ability to use other forecasting methods to detect approaching seismic activity then they might have spotted the approach of both earthquakes. My forecasting program is evolving so rapidly and there is so much activity in this area that there isn’t time to say any more about this in the present report.
