Re: 487 Guy Arkansas quakes this fall

This is just a relatively brief discussion of this subject. I have some additional information on this that would not be appropriate for posting here. That information is not especially important.

The following is observation, personal opinion, and theory information.

Since around the middle of June of 2010, with the earthquake forecasting program I am running I have been detecting a tremendous number of low intensity EM Signals and relatively few high intensity ones. The stronger signals are usually associated with approaching powerful earthquakes. The low intensity ones can be for just about any earthquake occurring around the world. But for some reason that is probably fault zone environment related the low intensity ones are most frequently associated with Indonesia area earthquakes.

At first I thought that there might be some significant earthquake activity headed for the Indonesia area. But those signals never last for such a long time.

Finally a while ago I saw a report regarding the earthquake swarm in Arkansas. I ran some of those earthquake data through my computer programs. And the earthquakes were good matches with the low intensity signals I have been detecting.

Distance from the fault zone is important to the strength of and even the existence of these signals. And as I live here in the U.S. it was my conclusion that most of the low intensity signals are in fact associated with the Arkansas earthquake swarm. That information has been shared for months with other forecasting personnel around the world. One concern was the possibility that there could be a powerful Indonesia earthquake on the way. However, information I received from other forecasting personnel stated that their methodology indicated that this was not the case.

Numerous low intensity signals were being detected every day for quite a while. Then in the past month or so they decreased sharply in number. And now there are days when quite a few are detected and other days when few or none are detected.

My theories and observations indicate to me that the number of signals being detected on a given day or during some week can probably be affected by strain waves associated with earthquakes occurring in other countries. The waves are able to travel around the world carried along to some extent by the Solid Earth Tide. It is something like a floating object being moved along by ocean waves.

So far, my interpretation of the data is that none of the signals have been indicating that any highly significant earthquake activity is headed for Arkansas. I also do not know why those earthquakes are occurring in the first place. My guess would be that the activity is not associated with injection wells in the area unless that activity has for some reason reached a point that it has caused some type of significant and long lasting instability to occur in fault zones in that area.
