The AGU fall meeting is happening in San Francisco this week: Monday-Friday.
I'm not going although HW is headed there. I need to keep working on manuscripts, and I've been choosing to spend time and funds at smaller regional meetings (Antartic science, or Hispaniola, or SCEC). But, there is a lot that goes on at AGU and the abstracts are online.

They changed the simple way you used to browse abstracts. You have to create an itinerary as far as I can tell; then you can search. I'm looking at the U13A session on Haiti now. You just enter an email address: you don't have to be a member.

There are also web broadcasts of certain talks...at least I think so.
