Wave Charts December 3, 2010 |
Hi Amit Dave, I am going to propose that to a certain extent, you might be trying to reinvent the wheel. Something that I keep saying to researchers interested in learning how and why earthquakes occur is that they should visit my Web sites and try to understand all of the information that is stored there before they get started on any research. Using The Wave Charts To Forecast Earthquakes
The Wave Charts also show how earthquake triggering processes can be compared with a variety of data such as the positions of the sun and moon relative to the Earth and the location of position on the Earth’s surface where the Tide Generating Force is strongest. There is an actual Wave Chart data generation computer program. It runs quite nicely. Unfortunately it ran out of sun and moon location data etc. around the end of 2009. And I did not update those data files because at that time I did not have a Web site running where the data could be stored for an easy download. I do now. But I have not yet had time to update those files. I would need to run a program called MICA and a number of other programs to generate all of the necessary numbers. And it takes a while to do that and then process all of the data. One type of data that I have been planning to add to the Wave Charts if I can gain access to them are called “Chandler’s Wobble” data. If my understanding is correct, Chandler's Wobble is a variation in the position of the Earth’s daily rotational axis that changes slowly over about a year’s time. The latest theories are I believe proposing that it is associated with changes in ocean water drag on the ocean bottom and effects like that. Finally, as I said earlier, you might want to take a close look at all of the information that I have stored at my Web sites before going too much further with your research. That Wave Chart information has been there since 2003. And if I remember correctly, it was discussed in detail at a scientific conference in the People’s Republic of China in late 2003. And they are being used and referenced elsewhere. These are personal opinions. |
