Hi Chris, Yes, I am very interested in scientific writing. I write in various areas and do editing, etc., plus research. I was a journalist, but life (meaning4 kids) got a bit too overwhelming) so I taught English for awhile. Right now, as my central child is getting married in December and subsequently moving to Cambridge, England, my life is rather writing-free (unless you count wedding invitations). I really miss it. Sigh. I would say to write as you speak, but if teaching isn't your forte, then writing in a speaking manner probably isn't either. What you've written here is always clear and the narrative is good. You explain things well so it may be more about your perception and frustration over it, than actual lack of skill. Plus, the number of institutions you have on it, combined with people working on it is tantamount to herding cats. Good luck and if you ever want to bounce anything off me, I'm more than willing. Beth
