Sure, every M6 or 7 quake is going to change the stress field in the neighborhood, delaying certain quakes and advancing others. I'm more talking about useful short range (example, 6 months) forecasts, possibly useful to get some instruments out, or at least to entertain us posting on this page. But, if one of us were to post that we thought there would be a M6 quake in far southern California in the next 7 years, the others would think "big deal" or "d'uuh".
