The storm now occuring in the upper midwest is very intense and forecast to get slightly more intense. For some areas it may soon have the lowest pressure on record. The link is to a map that shows the ofrecast for pressure on the Minnesota-Canada border as 961 millibars. This is what you would get in about a category 2 or 3 hurricane...except the pressure change is more spread out so winds not that high.
