Thanks for the article Chris - I remember a talk I heard a few years back where they had modeling of tsunamis off the southern california coast.. Especially if we get something out near Catalina that is thought to be a 'pop-up' structure - we won't have much warning on such tsunamis either..

I think the LA Basin will be in for a whole lot of shaking when the big one hits just due to the geology and the waves 'stuck' in the basin - like a seich kinda, amplifying the shaking.. or so it looks in the models.. I'm not looking forward to it..
