The email with the link was sent mainly to professor/research types at the university where I am adjunct. So, the person did not just send out a SPAM to everyone he could. I think he is serious. I suppose this person could be intelligent, depending on how you measure that, but as others on this thread pointed out, he is certainly ignorant. Or, the 80% of American who think the earth is sort of spherical and orbits the sun are wrong and are thus ignorant for believing the vast science conspiracy (I don't know what percent of Americans think the earth is not moving; I would guess it is just a few percent. But, over 40% think the earth is less than 10,000 years old, in repeated polls over the last couple of decades.)
