Luckily the house I stay in is at about 20 m elevation so no problem this century, although the little beach-isthmus that connects this part of the island may have to be built up or a bridge/causeway built, which would not be good for the town beach. What could be a problem is more hurricanes, but this one survived the 1938 hurricane which killed about 600 including 7 kids in schoolbus on the same town beach. But, there seems to be no agreement that there will be more hurricanes or more severe hurricanes, although if the only change was warmer water temperatures, there would be more of these and more of the strong ones (upper level winds are important so that is why it is complicated).
