My present interpretation of my own data includes the following: Powerful earthquakes can at times probably affect other things such as volcanoes and earthquakes at other location through any of a number of mechanisms. For example: A1. Shock waves from the earthquake can destabilize other fault zones etc. A2. When a powerful earthquake occurs, its formerly locked tectonic plates suddenly slip relative to one another. Other parts of one or both plates are then free to move a bit. One result is that strain can be transferred from the original fault zone area to other areas around the world. And that new strain in some fault zone can cause an earthquake to occur sooner than it might otherwise have occurred. B. Powerful earthquakes are often triggered by forces related to the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon. And when those forces have an alignment that they can cause an earthquake to occur at a specific location, then for any number of reasons there is a probability that that same alignment could cause an earthquake to occur at some other location. C. Some people believe that strong solar storms can produce fault zone heating, or whatever, that is sufficient to trigger an earthquake. And if it can trigger an earthquake in one location it can probably do that in other locations. I personally think that that theory is at least reasonable. I believe that the sun and moon gravities are important to earthquake triggering processes. But I personally cannot see how any alignment of the planets could be directly triggering earthquakes etc. I could see how there might be things happening that make it appear as though the planets were causing earthquakes to occur. And I have learned over the years as a professional analyst never to say that anything is totally impossible simply because it does not sound logical. So, even though I can’t see how planetary alignments could be causing earthquakes to be triggered I am not saying that I personally know for a fact that it would be impossible. It just doesn’t seem likely to me. Finally, Canie doesn’t appear to mind an occasional discussion that does not have to do with Earth Changes matters. But I believe that she wants the board to focus mainly on Earth Changes and not wander too far and too often in other directions.
