proof reading backwards

I'm trying to submit my overdue USGS-NEHRP Final Technical Report this morning. HW did an edit and I'm surprised at the typos that I just did not see despite reading it a couple times. I think the brain (all 7 neurons in my case) just corrects the problem so you don't see the errors. HW said someone told her that one way to catch typos is to read the text backwards. You read the last sentence (forwards), then the second to last, etc.

This report will likely be made available online by USGS so I will link to it from here. It is on faulting and folding of the near offshore from about Newport Beach to San Diego (California).
