Various types of backup systems |
One of the safest things to do is to keep two separate computers updated with the latest information such as E-mail addresses. An older system running Windows 98, XP, or perhaps even Vista that can be used for a backup is usually inexpensive. I have something like a batch file (actually a versatile Perl language utility program that I wrote myself) that I run now and then. It quickly copies all of my important files to a USB flash drive. Then I just plug the flash drive into a USB port on my backup computer and copy the files to that one. Very easy to do.
