There is a step to the west in the aftershocks of the Baja M7.2, mostly in California. This seems to extend father west than the projection of the Elsinore fault. This quadrant of a termination of a right-lateral earthquake should be compressional: wonder if there are thrust mechanisms in some of the aftershocks, especially on any E-W faults. I'm curious about what is going on in this area and what is the detailed fault geometry as both mapped at the surface and illuninated by the relocated aftershocks...
