The local creek did not break its record; it reached the #3 level, with #2 being Sept 2008 and #1 being spring 2009. The guage has been there at least since 1967. So, climate change? Coincidence. My opinion: neither. It is a combination of the wettest 2 year period for some locations in Missouri on record, and urbanization of the drainage area of this particular creek: parking lots lead to flash floods...
