Earthquake Advisory April 19, 2010 |
Earthquake Advisory April 19, 2010 Posted by EQF There has been quite a bit of low to medium intensity EM Signal activity during the past few days. And so I am circulating an Earthquake Advisory (not a formal Earthquake Warning). An advisory just recommends that earthquake forecasters around the world watch for significant earthquake activity. The Chart and Map displayed below are for my latest forecast data. Both will automatically update as newer charts and maps are stored on my Web site. Where there is a peak drawn at any longitude on one of the recent Time Window lines on the Chart and there is no peak at that longitude on older Time Window lines it means that a moderately to fairly powerful earthquake could be about to occur in a fault zone somewhere along that longitude line. Data on the Archives Web page at my Web are indicators of how well my forecasting method did or might have done with a number of significant earthquakes that occurred in the past. That Web page is in the process of being updated. If and when time permits, perhaps within the next few days, an effort might get underway to establish an international research project aimed at developing a comprehensive picture for how earthquakes occurring in fault zones around the world are being triggered. I believe that the basic triggering equations that I have already developed have done the most important work in this area. And they can serve as a good starting point for further research.
