Hi All. I’m at wits end. I have a Dell computer with Windows ME. The computer is great, but the Windows ME is a (blank) Canie would bar me for life it I was to tell you what it is. To date I have not been able to get a scanner to work properly with it. I have tried the HP3300c and Microtek3750i. With the Microtek I was able to get all of the software loaded. When I hooked the scanner up to the computer and turned the computer on it started to load, as it should. At some point I got the blue screen of death. I had to reset the computer then tried again, but all I got was the blue screen telling me that error 44 had been committed and installation was halted. I was never able to get past that point.

Does anyone know of a scanner that does work, as it should with Windows ME?

Let me make it clear. For those who haven’t bought Windows ME, DON’T. It just not worth it. Take Care…a very frustrated Don.
