Every 7 in CA had foreshocks

So it just occured to me every single magnitude 7+ quake in last 20 years in CA (or just over border in Mexico) have had significant foreshock patterns leading up to their quakes. We all already know what it looked like before this one, Landers was proceeded by Joshua Tree by 3 months, then, a swarm of its own hours before, Hector Mine broke out into a swarm hours before its rupture and Loma Prieta experienced 2 mag 5s in the year before its quake.

If only scientists could identify these ahead of time.

ANother note of interest, following what Chris and I spoke about in thread below, after Landers, many of the aftershocks initially migrated away from the rupture and on to the Lavic Lake Fault to the northeast-which 6 years later would be the future rupture for Hector Mine. Joshua Tree had aftershocks migrating to what would be the future Landers. And now, this week, we are seeing afterhocks migrate up the Elsinore and San Jacinto systems....hmmm, very familiar yeah?

I ran a catalog of Loma Prieta, and THOSE aftershocks stayed very tight to the segment ruptured. Nothing migrated up the Calaveras, Hayward or penninsula segment of San Andreas like they are on this one.

In the last 3 signifant socal quakes, this migration led to something either months to years later. I did read that indeed seismologists at Caltech have us under a "watch" until April 12 for a quake of 6+.
