I'm not familar with the Mexico quake and foreshocks if that is what they are, but the M7.2 Baja quake had foreshocks as Penny posted before the main shock. The problem is knowing what quakes are foreshocks; I've heard that 5% of California quakes have foreshocks. Then there is the problem of what is going on with all the aftershocks in southern California north of the main shock. I imagine it is fair to say that there is an increased risk for the next few days of a large quake; in a quick look for the official map that shows the risk, I did not find it. But, what chance of a M6 in the next week in southern California on a different fault? I don't know. Probbaly pretty small.
