The chirp seismic is showing that some of the folding in the deep basin of Canal du Sud north of the main plate boundary fault that broke in the earthquake is active. Also, faults that were imaged on the industry seismic reflection profile that I linked from earthwaves (but which I did not get around to putting in a more permanent place so is no longer linked) also deform the youngest basin sediment. So, likely that there is a wide zone of active faulting as is the case in southern California.
