There was just a M3.7 quake in SE Missouri, the New Madrid zone no doubt. I think this is the largest Missouri quake since we moved to central Missouri 3 1/2 years ago. It seems mildly ironic that we are in Haiti for it (although we would not have felt it 300 or 400 km away). A couple of days ago there was a M4.6 aftershock of Haiti quake in general area of where we were at the time. I don't know of anyone on ship feeling it; maybe we were a couple tens of km away at the time. I read that an earlier aftershock of that size felt like running aground on a (Navy?) ship.
