This is truly tragic.

If I am in a room with someone and light up a cigar, chances are they may choke. If I light up a cigar in that room with that person every day for 200 years, chances are something bad is going to happen - even if it's a pretty big room.

Maybe I'm being too simplistic, but how can you pump gases and toxins into the atmosphere for decades and decades and not have some effect? If there is no cause and effect, why should Los Angeles maintain emission standards? Maybe all that smog we see and breathe is just an illusion.

If there's anything devious about the global warming issue, it's the "cap and trade" market that had been attempted. This was the root of a lot of the fury about global warming - versus the purported benevolence of those pushing the issue. (You gotta love Al Gore - "My family used to farm tobacco. It's how we became rich. But, we stopped out of concern for our fellow man." What nonsense.) If it were not refuted, the government would be in the position to tax the air.
