Mann et al 1995 Tectonophysics published 2 dates from corals (119 ka and 124 ka) from the NW part of that island, and this shows an uplift rate of zero. There are older corals that are uplifted, but these dates indicate that the rate of uplift elsewhere on island is, and has been, far slower than I thought. Also, the rate of offshore subsidence is likely much slower than I thought. The structure is a hazard but the rates would be a fraction of what I supposed (at least I did not post what I supposed beyond "high").

Good lesson that speculation will get you wrong, or as Art Sylvester said a long time ago: "no dates, no rates"
