Re: comment on EQF post |
Your own comments are in my opinion worthless. And they are also dangerous. They are not contributing to the discussion of whether or not an earthquake will occur and are only criticizing these Earthquake Warnings without stating why. They are also attempting to use public ridicule to get some agenda based goal accomplished. Your quote - "I've lost patience with your self-importantce." In my opinion, that would be a typical example of the use of agenda driven ridicule instead of something of scientific importance in an attempt to intimidate someone and accomplish censorship by pressuring a person to stop talking about some subject. And you are in my opinion helping block effort aimed at getting potentially critically important information to people who need it to save their own lives. The people of Haiti needed some effective warning information just before their earthquakes, not criticism, and not just more endless, pointless arguments. An Earthquake Advisory was posted here on January 11, 2010 and the devastating Haiti earthquake occurred the following day. It is estimated that more than 100,000 people lost their lives. It was the only formal earthquake warning that I posted here is a while. So a timely warning was generated before the earthquake. The earthquake in my warning was expected to be a highly significant event, and some information related to its possible location was added. With all of that information available to get them started, it is possible that governments and earthquake research might have been able to tell were the Haiti earthquake could occur by observing earthquake precursor in the areas they checked. And if they then concluded that a deadly earthquake was on the way then they might have been able to warn the general public and get them out of buildings and into safe areaa. Innumerable lives might have been saved. No other researchers posting notes here provided any helpful additional data that I can recall in responses to my warning and governments were not looking very hard for a powerful earthquake. Its approach was not detected in time to save any lives. And some of the people who died were probably government and disaster mitigation officials themselves, scientists who opposed developing earthquake forecasting programs, and innumerable innocent children. An entire generation of Haitian civilian orphans has now been created. When extremely deadly phenomena such as earthquakes are being discussed it is important to try to do everything possible to learn how to deal with them, and not just waste time by arguing uselessly and endlessly over unimportant matters. I made a concerted effort to warn people about an expected deadly earthquake. The next day as many 100,000 lives were lost.
So, exactly what did you yourself try to do to prevent that disaster and terrible loss of life? These are personal opinions.
