So with all these micro earthquakes, only a small part of the fault moves. So my next question is...in a major earthquake, say 6.5, are there huge chunks of the fault that move at once, right? Like chucks that are like maybe 10 miles or more long? Or is there no such thing as a gigantic chunk of fault thats unified and each segment is composed of many tiny strands that, in a major quake domino effect into each other and move in concert with each other?
