There is a huge lack of information on active faults in CA and elsewhere. I've always thought there is a market for a website out there where various faults could have their own bios, i.e. research articles, diagrams, info on past quakes (Not just those that broke the surface like USGS states but with ANY activitiy), etc. As we are seeing, there is huge audience for this info, but nobody supplying it. Not to disparage, but the USGS fault map site is horrible.

Just a thought, but such a site could be a valuable tool to the public to remember to be prepared as well as a huge resource for the media.
