Do you really know anything about lemmings? Or do you just think you know about lemmings? Perhaps you only know what other people have told you?

If you are implying that John is but a lemming, you couldn't be more wrong as it's obvious you don't know about lemmings, or John, or seismologists in general.

Lemmings do not jump off cliffs en mass just because others are doing it. It's old myth.
