One of the people I am working with did not like the idea of posting preliminary stuff so nevermind. I'll post some of the stuff we come up with. For example, it was published in a couple of articles in 2009 that a horizon that I have correlated to "top Lower Pico" from Wright (1991) in the Beta Oil field, where it is supposed to be 1,800,000 years old, is 10 to 15 times younger. I'm pretty confident that I (we) am close to correct; the young interpretation was based on extrapolating back from radiocarbon-dated (40 ka), but there is missing section across an unconformity.

If I was wrong, and the stratigraphic horizon was really 160,000 years old or younger, the slip rates needed to explain the structure would be excessive (and LA would be in trouble).

We are trying to get some information from some coreholes that have been proprietary, offshore San Clemente and Oceanside.
