Kate Hutton remarked on another email list I'm on that the breaks were pretty random and not along fault lines.. so she didn't think it was related to earth movement.. she'd have the resources to know..

I do think the break in Newport today could be considered along the Newport Inglewood fault though.. that's right about where it comes to ground from the ocean - the break was in Lido Isle..
