Hi Michael. By stating you can unconditionally withhold the posting of any prediction you automatically make yourself responsible and in doing so this would make you liable.

Lets say a person has a record that is better then 75% and makes a forecast that a 7.5Md will strike the Bay Area on 12 Dec. 2001. You with hold that forecast until after the quake when in fact had it been posted before the quake it may have saved some lives. By not posting it before the quake you could be held liable. The person who made the forecast will scream bloody murder that you withheld information that may have saved some lives.

You have to make it very clear that you are nothing more then a site for which a person may post their prediction and that it should be known to the public. You neither agree nor disagree with the person making the forecast.

You add nothing to it; you take nothing away from it. You are acting as a depository of data. By putting it out in the open for everyone to see you are letting him or her judge for themselves who they want to believe or not believe.

It has to be known that like weather forecaster at present time are not 100% accurate, so neither will earthquake forecasters be 100% accurate at present time or in the future. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
