Tony and all, Over the past two or three months I have noticed movement in my house and garage. Primarily cracks in the wall at doorways and the doors sticking or jamming. I also checked the level of our cesspool and it seems to be down from normal. We are built in an area of expansive soil and movement related to water table is not uncommon. In light of all the water main breaks, with several in our area, I would assume water table fluctuation might be at least in part, responsible for some of the breaks. I think there was a rise in our water table just before the Northridge Quake. I have also felt the house shake or snap as in a quake on several occassions in the last two months but none ever showed up on the USGS maps. I would assume they were very small and located locally to the Woodland Hill area. I have just checked out all my quake supplies just in case! Bob in Woodland Hills
