7.6 Andaman Islands 12 mins before M6.4 Honshu

There was just a M7.6 in the Andaman Islands, which is near the north end of the great 2004 earthquake. There is a tsunami watch for the area.
12 mins later there was a M6.4 near coast Honshu Japan. This is not the same area or same depth as the M7.1 of the other day.

There is not much information yet on these quakes but each say reviewed by seismologist.

The section of Plate Boundary north of Andaman Islands would be of concern because of the very deep sedimentary basin in Bangladesh with thrust faults propagating into this.
