Thanks Brian, I wrote down your info. On Windows, I can see the directory structure, so I figured most of it would be retrievable, but thought I would have to send it to specialists and pay a lot. I did not think of doing it myself. I think I'll wait and see if I am missing anything important, and if I am, look at the directory structure and see if it is on damaged drive.
