I remember in 1964 (yeah, I'm that old!)when there was a tsunami following the Alaska Quake. I lived in Long Beach then, and it is TRUE that some surfers went to the beaches with their boards to surf the tsunami. Of course, it was too small there to even make much difference.

And yes, I don't think that most tsunamis (if any) have a really good wave form.
