After reading your description of vertigo, I would have to say that vertigo is not what I feel during or before these earthquakes. I would better describe it the way one of the other readers described it as similar to that feeling when a car is passing you and you get the sense that you are moving instead of the other vehicle. That feeling, for only a second or two is what I feel during these earthquakes and it is so minimal that I've typically dismissed the feeling. I'm also one of those people who can hardly drive down a winding country road without feeling nausea. Of course on the other hand, it could all be in my head as you suggest. Maybe it was all in your head when you felt the very small quakes out in the desert that you described earlier. I think you said you had either a dizzy feeling or a feeling of vertigo. That sounded most like what I am feeling and was glad to find someone else actually has felt this, even if it is all in our heads. Thanks for your help, I'm more interested in finding out more about the earthquakes themself than I am about the vertigo though.
