The earthquake depths in this area are interesting. Most quakes less than 150 km deep, with shallow quakes to the north and south of the zone. Definitely doesn't look like a classic subduction zone there. I've always found this area interesting---reminds me of the Scotia Arc in some ways. Yeah, the Atlantic is expanding, but these two regions are holding out against it!
