Parkfield Dilational Strain |
Hi All. There appears to be a very rapid increase in dilational strain at the Parkfield site. This is only the second time I have seen an increase in strain at Parkfield. This is also the first time I have seen a rapid increase such as this. It is too early to tell if and when there will be a quake as I have not seen the point where the strain levels off then drops. I have learned the length of time it takes the strain to build then release is not a good indication of how strong the quake will be. As of right now there are no other indications of a strain build up. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
