I am more worried about the response of unprepared homo sapiens. No water, no gasoline, and a broken food supply infrastructure, as in I-10, which you were just south of there in Palm Springs. We will lose I-10, I-15, I-8, and probably I-5 for an extended period. When it does go, it will be like a Rodney King riot X 100. Our best hope is to have a 6.5 or so out in San Bernardino so people take the threat seriously before the real biggy hits. I know this is a hard way to put it, but a strong quake will wake people up. Most of the population in So Cal now have never felt a strong temblor. Wake up call is coming, soon.
