All your comments are correct within my knowledge.
Petra, however is also correct. Earthquakes at this depth in Oregon are
quite rare. I did a search for all earthquakes in the state of Oregon with
depths less than 40 km (this was 52 km). Since 1970 there have been
only 7 such events reported (excluding today's) with Ml>=2.5 (that's about
1 every 4 years). I am listing the prior such events here:
