Howdy All,

Yes this was very close to a perfect prediction, if there is such a thing. The prediction was for 33.500N,116.500W, and the quake was at 33.950N,117.765W, which is 127.5968 Km distance.

Magnitude was good at 5.4Mw

Depth was good at 13.6 Km

Time frame was good

Quake was felt for at least 200 Km

I'll have to study the SCSN moment tensor a bit more, but it looks close.

I am not sure why I had a hunch about this quake, but I did. Problem is, is that I have had other hunches that did not come through. Wish I had a sure fire way to do this scientifically. It will be interesting to see if this triggers any other activity in the coming days or months.
