Canie, I'm taking a regular laptop and also what I call a desktop replacement...which is a heavy laptop...is 12 lbs plus 3 lbs for power supply. It was a mistake. It would be tempting to not take it, but I'm really depending on having the softwares I use work, and so is safer to have a backup. Also, there may be a Turkish student who can help with the data processing. I actually don't like to travel, but family and vacation is in the northeast, I work in California, and I live in the heartland, so I don't have much choice. I pretty much stayed put here most of the time from last Sept to May, though.
