1. question the reality of global warming.
2. argue to stop the steps proposed to counter it.
3. propose the weakest, least expensive plans possible to undermine any more effective plans that cannot be completely halted.

I don't view this as helping to work out our problems.

I also don't see that the current administration has been particularly thrifty with our tax dollars, despite their pleas of our penury as the reason we cannot endorse measures against global warming supported by the vast majority of the other countries.
