I graduated from CSUN in 1987, followed by an MBA at CSUF (Fullerton) in 1992 -- I attended college "later" in life -- but better late than never. We lived in Granada Hills at the time of the 1971 earthquake -- that was a 6.5M that shook for one full minute. That one really displaced a lot of people. The Van Norman Dam was damaged and in danger of collapsing. They gave the order to evauate -- we had to evacuate with 2 small children and a big dog -- approximately 80,000 people in an 80-square mile area had to "get out of Dodge" for 3 days -- just forget all the major damage to your home, just grab a few things and leave. 37 years ago, but I will never forget all the little details of that morning.
