Bob, we found that interesting. Not sure how we use it. Maybe the best stuff I ever posted was my "near real time" experiences on a paleo-climate coring cruise as we ran up the central California coast in late August 2005..."starry night" when about 3 AM the milky way was horizon to horizon.

Nano S asks you what program we would do that would help a teacher. It can be Elementary school or high school. In Rockland county NY the public schools teach earth science in 8th grade. What can we do to "help revive science in school"? Nano says we are interested in having a broader group participate in the research. How do we make this available? For an acquisition cruise, undergraduates can be take to sea to acquire data. My former thesis advisor has taken (with another professor) maybe 2 dozen students to Antarctica (one of the Hercules flights to McMurdo had good looking women on it...and the navy pilots flew around the steaming crater of Erebus for them before landing).

But, for this one we are doing no such thing.
I'll be at sea in Turkey in July, but it is a Turkish ship so probably can't communicate. You get really busy also.
