Where is St. Lucy's? I'm not familiar with that name.

I went to Providence High School in beautiful downtown Burbank -- right across the street from the Disney Studios -- St. Joseph's Medical Center on the one side and the Ventura Fwy on the other -- behind the school was the Johnny Carson Park -- very urban, but I loved the school -- went there all 4 years -- won a scholarship there which really helped -- we weren't rich.

Providence is still small, but co-ed now. Most famous attendees: Bob Hope's youngest daughter went there, as did Helen Hunt, the actress. But now, the more famous graduate is a guy -- can't remember his name -- plays baseball for some Major League team.

A few months ago, I was on a flight from Burbank to Las Vegas. Earlier that day, I had been hiking in the hills above Ojai. I had fallen and by the time I was flying home, my foot was swelling inside my tennis shoe. It was painful and I took my shoe off, excusing myself to the male passenger sitting next to me. He said that I should get the foot x-rayed when I got home. During the course of the ensuing conversation, he mentioned that he went to a small Catholic high school in Burbank. Turns out that he too went to Providence. What are the odds? It was really a small school. Oh, and the medical advice? He's now a doctor, a kidney specialist, in So. Calif.
