Glen...is not O/T IMHO. Go ahead and report on what you see, or what you know about that fault in that area. For example, years ago I heard Tom Rockwell talk about his 3D trenches across the northern Elsinore-Whittier, and there is a paper by Hull and Nicholson (?) from the 90s(?) about total slip from offset of some Miocene lava flow (12 or 14 km (?) right-lateral), but otherwise I know nothing about the southern Elsinore.
My daughter got home for the week last night and I was asleep on the couch so did not hear the doorbell ring and she had to call me on the cell to get let in. Some welcome. I'd like to do a road trip for 2 days. Maybe go towards New Madrid and look at the flooding and get a feel for the lay of the land there in case I, or people I know, ever want to get marine geophysical data (high resolution seismic reflection) on flooded tributaries or swamps or cotton fields or whatever is there. But, she will probably sleep late and we will go for short hikes, and maybe look for a summer job.
