Speaking of all-in-ones...my copier at work is also a scanner/printer, but is primarily a copier and that's all I use it for. The fax is also a copier, but I don't use that part. We have a dedicated laser printer for that. Unless you are really pressed for money and space, I think separate machines for each task are better, too. Besides, you get better quality. Can you image an all-in-one that could really print, copy and fax as good as three separate machines? So quality can be a concern, too. I guess it depends on your needs. My personal printer plans (which may take a while) are to have two printers. A decent B&W laser printing for common printing needs, and a high quality photoprinter (like 9 inks or similar) for color prints.
